"When a child walks onto the old yellow school bus that is Charlottesville’s Free Book Bus, they’re greeted not by rows of seats, but by shelves of hundreds of colorful books featuring diverse characters of many languages, races and backgrounds."

In the summer of 2020, we started using a slide to give out books during the COVID-19 pandemic. June 21st was our second event with the new social-distancing slide! We gave out 159 books. Thank you to Andrew Webb of WVIR NBC29, who came out to film the Donor Diapers distribution. Donor Diapers sets up at Friendship Court every month to give out diapers and wipes to families who need them.
